Good troubleshooting skills are essential in the DIY hobby because every display is unique. Even when two people use similar hardware, differences in wiring, network configuration, power distribution, firmware, and environmental conditions can produce very different results.

Rather than simply looking for a solution to a specific problem, try to understand the concepts behind the troubleshooting techniques described in this section. Learning why a problem occurs will make it much easier to diagnose and solve similar issues in future projects.
