Pumpkin Totem Pole

A picture is worth a thousand words. This simple project uses inexpensive plastic pumpkin treat buckets (typically around $1 each) mounted on a PVC pole to create an animated Halloween decoration.

A hole is cut in the bottom of each pumpkin bucket so it can slide onto the PVC pipe. In the original design, a C9 bulb was installed inside each pumpkin, allowing them to be individually animated. In the example on the right, an LED light source was used instead.
